Tom is Andromeda’s Chief Risk Officer. His main focus is on developing the risk management framework and risk technology for the firm. He also has overall responsibility for all operations of the business outside the investment function. He joined the firm in 2024.
Prior to this, Tom set up and ran the risk function at Algebris Investments (2017-2024), and held a number of senior roles in equity derivatives trading, structuring and sales for UniCredit London (2013-2017), ANZ Hong Kong (2009-2013) and Merrill Lynch Hong Kong and Sydney (2008-2009). Tom started his career as an Equity Derivatives Strategist at Merrill Lynch in London and Tokyo (2001-2008).
Tom is very active in charitable efforts, in particular as a co-Founder and Director of eCubed, a London based social responsibility company dedicated to fund raising in support of charities that fight racially and sexually motivated violence in the Greater London area.
Tom holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Groningen and an MSc in Computer Engineering cum laude from the University of Napoli. A keen sportsman from a very young age, he still competes in long distance running and cycling events, mostly in support of charitable causes.
